BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) -- China's production of natural gas has maintained steady expansion in the first half of 2025, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed Tuesday.
The country produced 130.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the January-June period, up 5.8 percent from a year earlier.
In June alone, the natural gas output expanded 4.6 percent year on year to 21.2 billion cubic meters, according to the bureau.
NBS data also showed that China's raw coal output rose 5.4 percent year on year to 2.4 billion tonnes in the first six months of this year.
The country's crude oil output increased 1.3 percent year on year to 108.48 million tonnes in the first half of 2025, according to the NBS. ■
