KIEV, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Monday he has offered First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko the position of Prime Minister.

"I have proposed that Yulia Svyrydenko lead the Government of Ukraine and significantly renew its work," Zelensky said in a post on Telegram.

He added that he looks forward to seeing the new government's action plan in the near future.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has led the Ukrainian government since March 2020. ■
